{"id":6304,"date":"2020-06-10T19:46:45","date_gmt":"2020-06-10T19:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fire-testing.com\/?page_id=6304"},"modified":"2020-06-11T08:26:50","modified_gmt":"2020-06-11T08:26:50","slug":"ftt_locs-htm","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fire-testing.com\/de\/ftt_locs-htm\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter or Credit Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>\n\t\t\t<strong>FTT<\/strong> requirements for export Letters of Credit\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t<p>To enable us to dispatch your goods as quickly and economically as possible, the conditions set out below must be used when opening a confirmed doumentary L\/C.<\/p>\t\t\n\t<table>\n  <tr>\n    <td>1.<\/td>\n    <td>Prior to \nOpening L\/C\n<\/td>\n    <td>It is strongly recommended that a draft copy is sent to <strong>FTT<\/strong> prior to opening L\/C  to ensure that the details are correct and that we can comply. \n <br>\nIf this is not adhered to costs of amendments are for the openers account and not <strong>FTT<\/strong> and any extra cost incurred to <strong>FTT<\/strong> will be billed to customer.<\/td>\n    <td>If terms of L\/C are agreed prior to opening this will avoid any unnecessary amendments to the L\/C and any extra bank costs incurred for amendments.<\/td>\n  <\/tr>\n  <tr>\n    <td>2.<\/td>\n    <td>Type of Credit\n<\/td>\n    <td>Confirmed irrevocable documentary Letter of Credit drawn on AA rated bank. Conditions must comply with UCP600 rules.\n <br>\nIn the current worldwide bank crisis the need for confirmation is vital.\t\n<\/td>\n    <td>This will reduce the need to apply for amendments and keep bank charges to a minimum and also helps <strong>FTT<\/strong> to present our documents quickly. \n<\/td>\n  <\/tr>\n    <tr>\n    <td>3.<\/td>\n    <td>Shipment Date \n<\/td>\n    <td>To be agreed with <strong>FTT<\/strong> prior to opening L\/C<\/td>\n    <td>To avoid need for amendments.<\/td>\n  <\/tr>\n    <tr>\n    <td>4.<\/td>\n    <td>Expiry Date \n<\/td>\n    <td>Allow 21 days from the shipment date for presentation and negotiation.<\/td>\n    <td>This allows <strong>FTT<\/strong> to receive documents from third parties (i.e freight agents or Chamber of Commerce) and present to the bank in time.<\/td>\n  <\/tr>\n    <tr>\n    <td>5.<\/td>\n    <td>Payment Terms \n<\/td>\n    <td>100% at sight upon presentation of documents to bank <\/td>\n    <td><\/td>\n  <\/tr>\n    <tr>\n    <td>6.<\/td>\n    <td>Documents\n<\/td>\n    <td>2     copies commercial invoice<br> \n2     copies packing list <br> \n2     copies insurance certificate (if necessary)<br>  \n1     original airway bill     or <br> \n3\/3 original bills of lading     or <br> \n1     original CMR Sight drafts <br> \n2    copies certificate of origin  (if necessary). \t<\/td>\n    <td>Keep documents simple \u2013 these are all the documents that the Banks require for a documentary Letter of Credit.  It also cuts down the possibility of discrepancies and extra costs  when too many unnecessary documents are called for.
