ISO 3795 es una norma equivalente desde el punto de vista t\u00e9cnico que se aplica en Europa, Canad\u00e1 y Jap\u00f3n. La FMVSS 302 especifica los requisitos de resistencia a la combusti\u00f3n para materiales empleados en los compartimientos para ocupantes de veh\u00edculos a motor (es decir, autom\u00f3viles de pasajeros, veh\u00edculos de pasajeros multiprop\u00f3sito, camiones y autobuses). Su finalidad es reducir la cantidad de muertes y lesiones sufridas por los ocupantes a causa de incendios en los veh\u00edculos, en especial, los originados en el interior del veh\u00edculo por
